"A child is meant to learn, not to earn"
"Child labor perpetuates poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, population growth, and other social problems." ~ Kailash Satyarthi
Did you know that "152 million children between the ages of 5-17 were in child labour, almost half them, 73 million, in hazardous child labour."
Child labor deprives one of their right to education as well as has a negative impact on their physical and mental health and well-being.
It obligates children to leave school prematurely and prevents them from gaining a sufficient education to obtain high-paying skilled jobs. Child labour could be potentially hazardous for children.
The fight against child labour is one that we cannot afford to lose.
