"In 2018, 62% of children placed in foster care were removed from their homes due to abusive neglect, totalling over 160,000 children."

Children whether in their teens, pre-teens or youths are often victims of this mental and emotional, or psychological abuse.

Children suffer mental and emotional abuse at the hands of peers, coworkers, mentors, and legal guardians.

Often victims of child abuse are forced to remain silent and hence they rarely receive the justice they deserve.

Whether in the form of bullying, usage of harsh language towards another, passive-aggressive comments, backhanded compliments, verbal abuse or mental manipulation,

mental abuse often leads to long-lasting impacts such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder and the development of destructive tendencies, and the damage caused could be extremely harmful.

Awareness about this situation needs to be spread and people need to be educated that in no situation child abuse is acceptable.
